Biography Friso van Drooge Friso has been fascinated by shipping since his childhood. Graduating in maritime law was the logical step to combine legal studies with his interest in the marine industry. Having started his career in a Rotterdam shipping lawfirm he was caught by the attraction of P&I insurance. Handling P&I and Defence claims proved to offer unlimited access to the dynamics of worldwide shipping in virtually every jurisdiction on earth. 25 years in the industry offer a wealth of experience in every possible scenario. Friso feels comfortable in a role as counsel to clients on liability issues. When claims arise, he will be available to coordinate with clients and insurers. Friso emphasizes the importance of having grip on claims by taking an active role and to never lose sight of practical solutions. Biography Vanessa van Hoeflaken Vanessa originally got involved in marine insurance on the underwriting side. Initially being responsible for account management she developed a profound understanding of marine insurance, policy of terms and conditions as well as the importance of administrative excellence. Moving onward to commercial roles, she expanded her experience to understand the insurance needs of every type of marine operation. Vanessa takes satisfaction in translating the clients’ operational reality into a seamless insurance coverage with the right suppliers.
